Dance Competition

this is Yah at dance competition. the single shot is her jazz dance outfit, they danced to "Hey Baby" it was really cute. she got first place on all three of her routines. Ehm liked listening to all the different music and Yah enjoyed watching all the other dancers. when she watches them, she gets a very serious look on her face and it seems that she is thinking, "i can do that too." grandparents were in attendance and were very proud of our little dancer. our studio won the overall studio championship award so that was really cool.

Snow People

here are the snow men that daddy-o and yah made after the big snow fall. the big one is "Yah" and the little one is"Ehm." the next morning, Yah went to the window to see if the snow people were still there. after realizing they were, she put on her boots and coat, then went outside to give them each a hug and tell them good morning. this was the routine for about two weeks, then the weather had warmed up enough to make the snow men lean over and then she didn't hug them any more. now they are a lump of snow in the almost bare yard, the house shades them from the sun so they aren't quite gone yet.

judo club

in january, i took pictures at the ore-ida judo club and i got them back and delivered this week. i enjoy taking pictures. here are a couple of my favorites: the family hasn't had photos taken in the last five years and they were all very pleased with their picture. then there is the group. i have not taken so many pictures of a group and still ended up with so many with their eyes closed. oh well, this is the best shot of them.
judo is an interesting sport, i don't understand it very well, but from what i can tell, it is a form of japanese wrestling and throwing. you try to throw your partner and then get them into one of several pins. all this time you are wearing a gi (pronounced gee) it looks like a bathrobe and jamma pants. this is their official uniform and it is interesting to see all of them practicing. This is the 6th largest judo club in america.

snow day

here i sit, baby on one arm and typing with the other, i have gotten suprisingly good at one handed typing. daddy-o and yah just left for school, they had to leave early because of the snow. we have had one snow day this year, the first one in seven years. this is the most snow we have had in the valley in a long time. it usually just rains or it is way too cold to snow. on snow day i took Yah to the baseball field over at the college and we went sledding. She had so much fun, we met some kids from school and stayed for several hours. Ehm slept almost the whole time. now every time it snows, Yah wants to know if it is going to be a snow day. we listen to the radio and when they say "schools are in session" we can finish getting ready.
